1. Where do I send my rent check?
Please send all rent payments to : PO Box 1942
Morristown, NJ 07962-1942 (please omit street address!)
2. I need to break my lease, how do I do that?
All Notices to Vacate/Terminate Lease must be in WRITING and sent separately from all other correspondence. (Do not enclose w/rental payments.) Move outs are accepted for the 14th or end of any given month. If you need to terminate your lease before the expiration, you must provide the Landlord with sixty (60) days notice of these intentions. A confirmation of this receipt is required.
3. What are the fees/penalties when I break my lease?
There is a standard early termination fee of $300.00 any time after the initial lease is fulfilled. If you terminate the lease within the first year- you will also be charged pro-rate fees for painting and cleaning in the amount of $200.00 in addition to the early termination fee. You will remain responsible for the monthly rent until the apartment is re rented. (At Franklin Green/Franklin Green South, the termination fees differ- please inquire)
4. Can I renew my lease for just a few months?
Upon timely request and approved by each Property Manager, a onetime short term extension may be obtained upon your current lease renewal. There is a $100.00 non-refundable fee for this option. Various rules and regulations apply.
5. What happens if I need to move for work during my current lease?
Only upon lease renewal and written request Segal and Segal can offer a "Transfer Clause". You must be able to provide 60 days written notice and a letter from your current employer that you are being transferred over 25 miles from where you are employed now. A $300 termination fee applies.
6. What is the pet policy?
Our pet policy is one cat per apartment. No fee! Dogs are not permitted.
